most of the beaches in southern california are gorgeous and the surfing in encinitas yesterday was no exception. the sun was setting, the waves were big and rolling and if i just sat on my board and watched the sunset, it would've been enough. i am truly, madly, deeply in love with our ocean. there is only one ocean and it covers most of this planet and it's ours to enjoy, to take care of and to sustain. yesterday, the surf had so many kelp beds it was difficult to paddle out. my leash and legs kept getting wrapped in seaweed, like strings of rubber, and as i pulled off huge clumps of kelp, i looked at how beautiful each piece of seaweed was: brown, green, red, slippery and strong...all of them alive and organic. hope you get to be outdoors and breathe and enjoy our beautiful planet. have a great wednesday! xo, am
