it's officially summer time, and though i'm working on the final edit of my film 'bark', i'm also getting to know more people through their blogs and it's inspiring. truly inspiring. we're so blessed to have an avenue to express our visions and stories and art and fears and hopes and complaints and wishes. and we're lucky to be connected this way. so today i salute everyone who puts their vision and what they care about into the world; artists, photographers, journalists, writers, filmmakers, designers, bloggers, mothers, fathers, scientists, activists, paramedics, dreamers...basically everyone who is brave and bold and patient and true. xo, am photos photos photos

THE TREE AND THE LADY
one of my favorite actresses of all time, charlotte gainsbourg is in a new film about something i also adore...a TREE. that's right, a film about a tree. of course, the movie is about much more, like family and loss and motherhood and nature and love. trailer here!

SHORT HAIR, LONG HAIR? SHORT HAIR PLEASE!
i've been wanting to cut my hair super short. i asked my hairstylist to chop it all off the other day and she said no. instead she suggested i do a shoulder-length crop for the summer and then in the fall...chop it off! i love mia farrow's cut and in rosemary's baby where she had both shoulder length and close cropped hair. btw, rosemary's baby is one of the great thriller/horror films. totally worth another watch! much love, xo, am photo sources to come.
